The Elder Scrolls Online gets an expansion to Skyrim

ZeniMax Online Studios has revealed in a teaser that the next expansion of the mmo The Elder Scrolls Online will be set in Skyrim. The studio will announce more details about the expansion in early 2020.

The teaser comes at the end of the cinematic trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr, which ZeniMax published during The Game Awards 2019. That trailer is the third in a series for The Elder Scrolls Online’s Season of the Dragon. Elsweyr is the expansion for ESO that was released in May this year.

The next expansion is set in the northern snowy Tamriel region of Skyrim, which was also the setting of the popular The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. ‘Explore the dark heart of Skyrim’ is the only thing Zenimax wants to say so far. On January 16, the company will announce more during a livestream.
