The Elder Scrolls mod that adds Oblivion to Skyrim will release no later than 2025
The fan-made Skyrim mod Skyblivion will appear no later than 2025. The makers claim that. The mod, which adds the world and story of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to Skyrim, also gets a new trailer with gameplay footage.
Skyblivion lead developer Rebelzize announces on YouTube that the mod will appear ‘at the latest’ in 2025. Skyblivion is in a state where we can promise a 2025 release. The team of volunteers working on Skyblivion asks for extra help from fans. With that extra help, they say they could “perhaps surpass their own estimate of 2025.”
In Skyblivion, the entire The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion game is recreated in the engine of Skyrim, the latest single-player RPG in the franchise. Skyblivion has been in development since 2012. The TESRenewal team claimed back in 2017 that a beta or the full release would be ready in 2018, also writes Eurogamer. In 2019, the team stated that the mod was in its final stages of development.
Skyblivion is part of the TESRenewal volunteer project, which remakes old The Elder Scrolls games with newer engines. Under the same initiative, a separate team is also working on Skywind, a mod that will bring The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind to Skyrim.
