CyanogenMod released another firmware update on Tuesday to resolve touchscreen issues with the OnePlus One. It is currently a test version, but the fix will most likely appear in a stable release in the near future.

Several Reddit users discovered that CyanogenMod is again offering a fix for the touchscreen problems that occurred with the OnePlus One last month. The software maker previously offered a firmware update, but it contained an error. For example, the update drained the smartphone’s battery too quickly if the user had set ‘double tap to wake’.

The Reddit users now say that after installing the so-called nightly, they have had no more problems with the screen. In addition, they indicate that the update no longer seems to drain the battery. Nevertheless, there may still be problems, because this is still a test version. If you don’t want to take any risk, it’s better to wait for the final version.

The update problems started after various OnePlus One devices appeared to have touchscreen problems. For example, the screens did not register multitouch gestures properly. It was raining complaints on GoT, among others.
