Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is coming in September 2022 and playing in Hong Kong
The racing game Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, announced a year ago, will be released on September 22, 2022. Publisher Nacon has released a new trailer that makes it clear that the action will take place in Hong Kong.
It is a cinematic trailer in which two cars of various brands race against each other in different places in and around Hong Kong. The also cinematic trailer from April this year only showed cars from Aston Martin and Land Rover, but now cars from Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lamborghini, among others, are also included.
According to Nacon, the location, in this case Hong Kong, has been recreated on a 1:1 scale. It doesn’t seem to be a very realistic simulation game. On the Steam page Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown states that the new title retains the DNA of the first games, but also ‘renews it for the modern age’. Players have the freedom to progress the way they choose, including through the returned open championship concept. In addition to racing, cruising and hanging out with friends are also possible, which are specifically mentioned by the publisher.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown was announced exactly one year ago. Like the previous parts, it is an open world racing game. The latest edition is made by KT Racing, the developer known for the WRC rally games. The racing game will be released for the Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, PlayStation 4 and 5, PC and the Nintendo Switch.
