Tesla withdraws beta 10.3 of Full Self Driving software due to issues
Automaker Tesla has withdrawn beta version 10.3 of its Full Self Driving platform. The update raised issues that the automaker wants to address first, says CEO Elon Musk. Users have been reporting problems for the past few days.

The beta came out last Friday and Musk announced on Sunday to withdraw the update. The founder does not name what problems caused the company to withdraw the update. Internal testing already revealed a problem with turning left at traffic lights, but Musk says that not ‘all configurations’ can be tested internally.
In a Reddit thread, users complain that with 10.3 they get a lot of notifications of forward collision warnings, which turn out to be incorrect. In some cases, there are many notifications per day. There is also a bug in Traffic Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer that can cause problems. Other users note that they cannot get the software to work at all under certain circumstances.
The beta is part of the software that Tesla refers to as Full Self Driving, although the car cannot or may not drive without human supervision and so it is not about autonomous driving. The feature is part of a $199 per month subscription or a one-time payment of $10,000 or $7,500. The beta is currently only open to US users.
Update 15:57: Tesla has a new version of the beta, 10.3.1, which should fix the issues. Users of the beta program can therefore update again.
