Tesla postpones introduction of electric pickup truck until November
Tesla’s electric pickup truck is likely to be announced in November. That’s what Elon Musk says on Twitter. In June, the Tesla CEO said the announcement would take place in the summer. In July, he called October at the latest.
In response to a question about the arrival of the pick-up truck says Musk that November is probably the month in which the unveiling takes place. The Verge notes that at a June shareholder meeting, Musk indicated that the rollout would be in the summer. At the end of July, Musk indicated on Twitter that it would take another two to three months.
Tesla has been working on a pickup truck for several years. It will come on the market after the Model Y. That SUV was announced earlier this year and should be available sometime late next year. This makes it plausible that the pickup truck will not be released before 2021.
Last year, Musk indicated in an interview that the pickup truck will have a futuristic “Bladerunner- and cyberpunk-like” look. Introducing the Model Y SUV a teaser was shown. However, that image reveals little of the design.
