Tesla will update the European Supercharger infrastructure from next week. According to Tesla, the existing V2 Superchargers are still limited to charging with 120kW, but that will be increased to 150kW.

Tesla says most drivers will see an overall improvement in charging efficiency and peak charging speeds, although exact peak power may vary by car. That depends on the capacity and service life of the battery, the charging status and the outside temperature. Tesla previously talked about a certification of 145kW for the V2 Superchargers, but that has now been increased to a maximum of 150kW.

All new Model S and X models, and the Model 3 Long Range and Performance can charge at 150kW. To take advantage of the increased power, Tesla owners will need at least firmware version 2019.16.4 or newer.

There are a small number of Superchargers in Europe that do not directly support the peak power of 150kW. These charging locations will receive small increments up to 138kW. It is unknown which Superchargers in Europe this concerns.

Tesla has also developed a new V3 Supercharger that can deliver 250kW peak power. The Model 3, X and S are getting updates to handle 250kW charging. This significant increase is made possible by a new liquid-cooled cable design; the V2 Superchargers use air-cooled cables. The first V3 Superchargers have yet to appear in Europe; the period or date for this is still unknown.
