Telegram puts Telegraph blogging platform online

Telegram has announced a blogging platform called “Telegraph” where users can leave messages without registration. They can provide these with simple layout, images and videos.

In its announcement, Telegram writes that this way users can post a story in a channel of its chat app “just like news companies”. When you go to the site of the new service, you will see a simple interface. There is only room for entering a title, name and article text, after which the message can be published immediately. This functionality is reminiscent of the comparable Medium service, where users do have to register.

In the same announcement, Telegram mentions the Instant View feature, which works with the Telegraph articles. This allows users of version 3.14 of the chat app to view these articles together with pieces from Medium and TechChrunch directly within the app. Telegram adds that the feature should support more than the current three sites in the future. The Instant View function can be compared to the amp technique from Google or Instant Articles from Facebook.
