Telegram is testing calling function
Chat application Telegram is beta testing with a calling function. Images shared in the Telegram Beta group show that users can specify who can call them. The app also shows the data usage for calls.
Users can indicate in Telegram that only contacts, no one, or everyone can call them with the calling function. It is also possible to completely block the call function for certain contacts. The CEO of the chat application promised At the end of January, in a tweet that there would be a calling function, but it is not yet known when all users can use it.
According to Neowin, it is also possible to verify whether encryption is used for a conversation. Telegram generates an image and a string for this, which can be compared with the image and text on the other user’s device. If the image and characters are the same, end-to-end encryption is guaranteed.
