Tele2 customers abroad cannot connect due to malfunction – update –
Tele2 subscribers who are abroad experience problems using mobile services or cannot connect at all. The provider says it is aware and working on a solution. The cause has not been disclosed.
Tele2 reports Friday afternoon on its forum and on Twitter that there is a malfunction. Several Tele2 users report on Twitter that they are unable to connect abroad. Presumably a relatively large number of subscribers of the provider are currently abroad because of the holiday period.
Tele2 does not provide details about the cause. The provider states that they are working hard on a solution, but cannot provide an indication of when the malfunction will be resolved. The provider says to provide updates via its forum if there is news about the malfunction.
Update, Saturday, 11:14: The problem has not been solved yet, but the cause has become more clear. “The outage was caused by an overload of roaming requests on the network,” the telco said.
