Anyone who has ever purchased the original Dying Light will receive a free upgrade to the game’s Enhanced Edition. Techland is handing out the upgrade in conjunction with the game’s latest update, patch 1.49.

The Enhanced Edition includes several DLC packs, including The Following, Bozak Horde, and Cuisine and Cargo, such as let Techland know. These DLCs add new game modes, story elements and weapons to the zombie game, among other things. Also, several previously inaccessible areas of the map are made accessible. In addition, players will receive a variety of cosmetic content as part of the Enhanced Edition upgrade.

Techland also introduces even more paid DLC, tweaks to the Be The Zombie game mode and changes to the Hellraid DLC with the latest update to Dying Light.

Dying Light was released in 2015 and has been regularly updated by Techland to date, including new story content, weapons, game mechanics and cosmetic items. Patch 1.49 mainly balances the spin-off Hellraid and adds some final quality-of-life improvements to the game. The zombie horror game with action, RPG and parkour elements meanwhile has a relatively successful sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
