Teamviewer gains access to an augmented reality view. The optional feature, TeamViewer Pilot, is useful for troubleshooting peripherals, connections, or hardware issues remotely.

Access to the feature is included in TeamViewer 14 Preview, which has been available since October 23. In the ar view in Pilot, TeamViewer uses the smartphone camera of the requester. In the view, one can use drawings and diagrams to indicate problems and actions. TeamViewer Pilot is available separately from TeamViewer 14 and costs 24.90 euros per month.

TeamViewer 14 is still in beta. TeamViewer 14 Final will be released on November 13. The new version of the desktop tool offers, among other things, improved performance at low bandwidth. In addition, the latency has decreased, as licensees no longer need to connect to TeamViewer’s master servers in Germany. More local servers have been set up. There is also a redesigned interface and an option to group the most relevant devices.
