Team.blue acquires e-commerce platform Hipex and merges it with Hypernode
Team.blue, the merger company of TransIP and Combell, has acquired webshop hosting provider Hipex. Hipex will be merged into Hypernode, the e-commerce platform that manages, among other things, a scanner for Magento webshops.
Team.blue does not write in a press release what amount it has paid for Hipex. Other details of the acquisition are also unknown, such as the number of employees that will be taken over.
Hipex is a hosting platform for e-commerce websites. The service was founded in 2008 and mainly focuses on making web shops faster. The service is integrated into Hypernode, which has been part of team.blue for some time. Hypernode was first known as Byte and created MageReport, a scanner for vulnerabilities on Magento webshops. Hipex will be hosted by Hypernode, says team.blue. This will enable Hypernode to “strengthen its position as a powerful e-commisse hosting specialist.”
