TCL shows 10.8″-240Hz display for gaming tablets
TCL is working on a 10.8″ tablet screen with a refresh rate of 240Hz. This is apparent from photos posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The screen has a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a camera hole.
The images of the Weibo user appear to have been taken on a trading floor. TCL itself has not released any information. The user took two pictures, one of the screen itself and another of the specification list. The screen has rounded corners. There is a hole for a camera in the top left corner.
According to the specification list, it is a 10.8″ panel with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 240Hz and a maximum brightness of 500cd/m². The screen uses the dci-p3 color profile, has a thickness of 1 .5mm and has a camera hole with a diameter of 3.5mm. GTG response time is 2ms.
As far as we know, the TCL WQ Gaming is the first tablet screen with such a high refresh rate. Gaming laptops, monitors and televisions are already available with such speeds. With smartphones, the maximum is now 120Hz, although the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 can simulate 240Hz by means of black frame insertion.
