TCL announces budget smartphone with 90Hz screen and 5,010mAh battery

TCL has introduced the TCL 40 SE. This budget smartphone comes with a 6.75” LCD panel with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The battery has a capacity of 5,010mAh and can charge quickly with 18W. The TCL 40 SE should cost 170 euros.

The TCL 40 SE gets a Helio G37 soc. The device comes in a variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. There will also be a variant for sale with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. TLC has added a microSDXC slot which allows the device’s storage space to be expanded up to 1TB.

The smartphone will have a primary camera of 50 megapixels. There is also a camera with a telephoto lens. It comes with a 2-megapixel sensor. The sensor of the camera with macro lens also has 2 megapixels. TCL has installed an 8MP selfie camera on the front of the device.

The smartphone runs on Android 13 with the TCL UI 5.0 shell installed over it. The device comes with a 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers and supports dual sim. TCL will be the device according to GSMArena launch in Europe this quarter for a price of around 170 euros.
