Tactics Ogre: Reborn RPG is coming to PC, PlayStation, and Switch on November 11
Square Enix will release the ‘tactical RPG’ Tactics Ogre: Reborn on November 11th for the PlayStation 4 and 5, the Nintendo Switch and on Steam. It is a remaster of an earlier version from 2010 and includes updated graphics.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn has according to publisher Square Enix not only improved graphics, but also better sound, an updated game design, improved combat mechanics, cutscenes with fully voiced voices in English or Japanese, newly recorded music, a modified interface and better AI.
These are all improvements over the earlier version of the game that came out in 2010 for the PlayStation Portable. That game is called Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. That in turn was a remake of the original game from 1995. It was then released in Japan on the Super Famicom, or SNES, followed by a release on the Sega Saturn and in the west on the PlayStation in 1998.
The makers describe Tactics Ogre: Reborn as a tactical RPG. The game is known for its artwork, writing, story, and political intrigue. As a player you take on the role of a soldier in the middle of a war in a medieval fantasy setting. Battles are turn based.
