Focus Home Interactive will release Othercide on July 28. The tactical horror RPG with turn-based combat is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game has a striking graphic style, which consists of black and white with red accents.

Othercide is made by Lightbulb Crew. Players control an army of so-called Daughters to fight with. These are again divided into Blademasters, Soulslingers and Shieldbearers, each with their own skills. The game features Xcom-style combat and revolves around saving humanity from strange creatures that have invaded the world from another reality.

According to the makers, battles in the game consist of a ‘complicated dance of spectacular actions and counters’. The game works with a so-called Dynamic Timeline System. This allows players to plan ahead during battle and link a chain of actions together, to unleash them on enemies later in the fight. The game is on Steam for 35 euros and the console versions will have a similar price. IGN published a gameplay video of Othercide earlier this year.
