Tactical action game Aliens: Dark Descent coming to consoles and PC in 2023

Focus Entertainment announces Aliens: Dark Descent. This is a single player game in which players control a squad of soldiers who take on aliens. The makers call it a tactical game with real-time combat.

Aliens: Dark Descent is being created by French studio Tindalos Interactive, in association with 20th Century Studio and Disney, who control the rights to the Alien franchise. A trailer shows mostly cinematic footage, with a short clip at the end that seems to contain gameplay. Screenshots have also been released showing the game from the same perspective.

In the game, players must fight a Xenomorph outbreak on moon Lethe. Players control four soldiers, but this is not done individually. The squad is operated as ‘one unit’. The four different characters automatically prioritize certain complex actions based on their skillsets and the environment, according to the creators.

The game will be released in 2023 for current and previous generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles. on steam a PC version will appear. The cost of the game has not yet been announced.
