Synology Announces DS419 Four-Bay Cube Slim Nas

Synology announces the DiskStation DS419slim, a NAS with space for four 2.5″ storage disks and a cubic housing of relatively small size. The new NAS can have up to 20TB of onboard storage.

The DiskStation DS419slim has dimensions of 120x105x142mm and a weight of 660 grams, without storage media. There are four hot-swappable slots for 2.5″ HDDs or SSDs and the sequential read and write speeds are up to 223MB/s and 94MB/s. According to the manufacturer, the maximum amount of storage memory with which the DS419slim can be equipped is 20TB.

The soc of the nas is a Marvell Armada 385 88F6820 dual-core with a clock speed of 1.33GHz. 512MB ddr3l-ram is available as standard. There are USB 3.0 ports on the front and back, and Synology has placed two gigabit LAN interfaces with support for link aggregation on the back. On the side is the on and off button and there are also status LEDs for disk activity and power supply.

The DiskStation DS419slim runs Disk Manager. The suggested retail price for the Benelux is 378.73 euros, Synology says.
