Synology has added an option to sync data with Amazon Drive, a service that offers unlimited file storage for $60 a year. The new option is in Hyper Backup, the manufacturer’s backup service.

According to tweaker Microkid, it is necessary to update the Hyper Backup package in DSM to see and use the option for Amazon Drive. Synology already offered backup options through synchronization with Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive, among others.

Synology notifies users of the new option via email, while it now also mentions Amazon Drive on its own site. Hyper Backup allows users of a manufacturer’s NAS to access files from multiple PCs and back them up to another Synology NAS or a web service via an Internet connection.

Amazon has been offering an option to sync unlimited files with Amazon Drive for $59.99 a year since last year. Many other providers also have paid options, but they do have limits.
