Swoop, a seller of refurbished Apple equipment, is out of business. That says a partner of the company to website iCulture. A curator would have been appointed to look at the next steps.

According to iCulture, partner Awin announced via email that Swoop has filed for bankruptcy. An official press release would follow on Wednesday morning, but at the time of writing this has not yet been found. Swoop himself could not be reached for comment.

Swoop is a store that sells refurbished Apple items, such as iPhones and MacBooks. At the time of writing, the webshop’s website is still active. It is not clear why the store has to file for bankruptcy. According to a tipster from iCulture, there have been financial problems before, because investors had ended a collaboration.

In June, another reburbished Apple equipment provider, Leapp, was declared bankrupt. That company restarted a month later, after it had found a new owner.
