Switch owners have been dealing with non-working downloads for more than a week

For more than a week now, Nintendo Switch users have been having trouble downloading games and game updates for their Switch. Also, ownership of dlc is sometimes not recognized. They get an error code, but no further explanation as to what is going on.

Nintendo has only responded to the issue in the form of a customer service page for error code 2123-1502. They talk about a ‘temporary network problem’ and suggest ‘possible solutions’, such as trying again, restarting the console and manually setting a different DNS. If that doesn’t help, Nintendo recommends simply “waiting and trying again later.” The problem occurs since firmware version 12.0.3.

It is not entirely clear how widespread the problem is. A recent topic on reddit however, has amassed 306 responses in about 24 hours, many of which are “I have this problem too.” They also report that the proposed solutions work in some cases, but often they don’t, or only temporarily.

Eurogamer has a week ago contact wanted with Nintendo about the issue, but has not received a response. Furthermore, they write that the company’s customer service is reportedly telling users that a firmware update that fixes the problem is on the way.
