Super Talent announces 2.5″ 512GB SSD

Memory manufacturer Super Talent has announced the MasterDrive RX series. The entire series uses raid technology. The largest SSD, 512GB, consists of two 256GB SSDs in raid mode.

Super Talent has a total of five new SSDs announced all packaged in a 2.5″ enclosure. The drives are essentially two RAID mode SSDs in a single enclosure. Three of the new SSDs, with capacities of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, use MLC Partly because the SSDs are in raid, the drives should be able to produce read and write speeds of 230MBps and 160MBps respectively.The 512GB MLC SSD should be available for just under $1500 immediately. – and the 256GB version doesn’t have a price tag yet.

The other two SSDs use SLC memory, which should give them better performance than the MLC models. The read speed is just like with the mlc-ssds 230MBps, but the write speed is considerably higher: 200MBps instead of 160MBps. The prices of both SSDs have not yet been announced by the American company.
