Super Nintendo World will open at Universal Studios Hollywood Theme Park in 2023

Next year, Super Nintendo World will open its doors at Universal Studios Hollywood. A theme park of the same name has been open since last year at the Universal Studios theme park in Japan. The exact content of the American theme park is not yet known.

Universal Studios promises a “visual spectacle”, a “groundbreaking ride” and “interactive areas”, but does not yet show concrete details of the Super Nintendo World theme park. Website Inside The Magic showed a number of photos of the park under construction at the end of last year. The theme park would be broadly similar to the version in Japan. It is not yet clear when the park in Hollywood will open. The owner calls only the year 2023.

In February last year, the first Super Nintendo World theme park opened. That is part of the Osaka-based Universal Studios Japan. The main attraction of that park is a Mario Kart roller coaster with AR elements. There is also a Yoshi’s Adventure attraction.

In addition to the Super Nintendo World theme park in Hollywood, more locations are planned. The first American Mario theme park was supposed to open in Orlando, Florida, but it was postponed. That location is said to open in 2025. There are also plans for a Super Nintendo World theme park at Universal Studios Singapore, but details are not yet known.
