Super Mario Maker 2 gets multiplayer for friends via an update
Super Mario Maker 2 will have the ability to play online with friends via an update to follow. Initially, the new Mario game got a limited multiplayer mode that can only be played with random people. The game will be released on June 28.
In a post-release update on June 28, the ability to play online with friends will be added to Super Mario Maker 2. Takashi Tezuka during the Nintendo Treehouse stream. Previously, the game, like many other Nintendo games, would have a limited online mode where only random people can play.
Nintendo has had problems with its online functionalities before. For example, Mario Party’s online mode didn’t have the ability to play boards together with friends, just minigames. Also, the multiplayer mode of Mario Tennis Aces was also limited with its release.
Almost a month ago, Nintendo held a special Direct stream to announce the new features of Super Mario Maker 2. For example, there are new styles, themes, stuff and objects to create more levels and the online mode has been improved compared to the first part, by making it easier to search for levels.
