Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels, Star Soldier and Punch-Out!! come to Switch
Nintendo has revealed the names of three classic NES games coming this month to subscribers to the Switch Online service, released last September. These are Punch-Out!!, Star Soldier and Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.
Nintendo reports on Twitter that these three classic games, originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, will be available for the Switch Online subscription service on April 10.
Boxing game Punch-Out!! came out in 1984 and Mr. Dream as the boss, a fictional character based on a Nintendo tournament champion. He was brought in after Nintendo’s contract with Mike Tyson expired.
Star Soldier is a vertical shooting game from 1986 in which players have to shoot their way through various obstacles and bosses with a spaceship. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels was released in 1986 and is the successor to Super Mario Bros. released in 1985.
These three games are the titles Nintendo is releasing for Switch Online this month. Previously, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Blaster Master, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Mario Bros. out for the subscription service.
Switch Online is the online payment service that Nintendo released for the Nintendo Switch in September. Subscribers can play online with this, have access to cloud saving and have access to a smartphone app. Users also get access to an ever-growing catalog of classic NES games.
