Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League postponed until later this year
According to a source from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game will soon be postponed. The game was supposed to be released in May, but that will now be sometime ‘later this year’.
Schreier bases himself to a source with ‘direct knowledge of the matter’. This source does not provide a reason for the postponement, but Schreier does note that the reactions to the co-op gameplay trailer and the fact that the game is always online were not positive.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is based on the supervillain team from DC Comics and is set in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham games. These mainly come from the same developer, Rocksteady. In SS:KtJL, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark and Deadshot are tasked with stopping a Brainwashed Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Batman.
The game is a third-person action game with single player and co-op multiplayer and will be released for the PS5, Xbox Series and Windows. Officially the release date is May 26.
