SteelSeries is releasing a new wireless headset in its Arctis series. The Arctis 9 can connect wirelessly to a PC or PlayStation console via or 2.4GHz and simultaneously connect via bluetooth to another device. The headset is compatible with the PlayStation 5.

According to SteelSeries, the connection via 2.4GHz provides a low latency and bluetooth 4.1 is also available for added versatility. Like the Arctis Pro Wireless and Arctis 9X, the new Arctis 9 can be connected simultaneously via 2.4GHz to a PC or console and to a mobile device via bluetooth. For example, while gaming, users can make phone calls or listen to music from a telephone.

The Arctis 9 headset, like the other models in the Arctis series, is equipped with a so-called ClearCast microphone, which, according to the manufacturer, provides natural sound with good filtering of ambient noise. The headset is equipped with 40mm drivers and the battery lasts twenty hours on a full charge, according to SteelSeries. Charging is via a USB-C port.

SteelSeries includes a USB dongle to connect the headset wirelessly to a console or PC via 2.4 GHz. When used with a PC, the headset supports DTS Headphone: X v2.0. The Arctic 9 has a suggested retail price of 200 euros and is available immediately.
