Steel Wood Studios Releases Five Nights At Freddy’s VR Game
Steel Wood Studios is releasing Five Nights At Freddy’s VR for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. The game is a collection of mini-games based on the original Five Nights At Freddy games and thus the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe.
In the horror game Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, the VR element has to create some extra tension and scares compared to the regular version. As a player you get the task as an employee of, for example, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza or Fazbear’s Fright to repair ventilation systems or to fix broken robots. These robots can be activated at any time and you will have to battle over thirty robots, including Freddy, Bonnie and Circus Baby.
According to the PlayStation blog, the VR title features 20 classic levels from the original games. These are complemented by twenty all-new mini-games. Furthermore, new robots have been added and there is a nightmare mode in which players can replay the levels, but with a higher difficulty.
The original Five Nights At Freddy’s game came out in 2014 and was quite popular. After that came a host of sequels and spin-offs. In the game, the player is chased during the night by robots, which only move when the player is not looking.
Earlier there was also an RPG based on Five Nights At Freddy’s. This RPG was removed from Steam by the developer because the game would not be finished yet. In November of last year, Polygon wrote that a movie about Five Nights At Freddy’s would be released, but it was eventually postponed due to a new triple a game that was planned.
Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted costs 25 euros and is available for the PlayStation VR and via Steam for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality glasses.
