Starfield has reached the mark of one million simultaneous players, according to Xbox CEO Phil Spencer, about a day after its official release. The game has been playable as early access for a few days now.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer let know that Starfield surpassed one million concurrent players across all platforms on Thursday. In addition to the PC version, this also includes the Xbox version. How many of the users played on PC and how many on Xbox is unknown. It does stand out SteamDB to see the game peaked at 269,177 concurrent players on Steam on Wednesday. The game can also be played via Game Pass on both Xbox and PC; it is also not known how many users played the game via this service.

Starfield was made early available on September 1 to players who purchased the Premium or Constellation editions of the game. The game was officially released on September 6. It is not known how many people have played the game in total. In 2021, Forza Horizon 5 had 10 million total players in its first week, which it said was the best first week for an Xbox game at the time.

Starfield exceeded 1 million competitor players across all platforms today. Thanks to all the players who helped us reach this great milestone and congratulations to the @BethesdaStudios
