‘Starfield does not support DLSS or XeSS’

An Microsoft previously stated that Starfield does support AMD FSR 2.0.

According to X/Twitter user Sebastian Castellanos, Starfield does not appear to support DLSS or XeSS for the time being. The man also states that Bethesda should not have too much trouble implementing upscaling techniques from Nvidia and Intel in the game. Castellanos also referred to the muds that came before announced on Reddit that they would be adding DLSS 3 support to the game. According to the man, these implementations are not at the same level as native support and these mods often suffer from glitches or bugs.

Despite the fact that Starfield does not appear to support DLSS or XeSS, gamers with an Nvidia GeForce video card are not excluded from AMD’s upscaling technology. FSR is also supported on Nvidia video cards. DLSS, on the other hand, is only compatible with recent GeForce video cards and not with AMD Radeon GPUs.

Gamers who have pre-ordered Starfield can download the installation files since August 17 download from the Microsoft Store. From August 30, the files can also be downloaded via Steam. Starfield releases on September 6 for PC and Xbox Series consoles. Gamers who have purchased the Premium Edition of the game can get started on September 1. The preload files for Starfield on PC take up 139.8GB of space. The preload files for the Xbox version are 126.1GB in size.
