The remaster of Star Wars Episode I: Racer should have been released on Tuesday for the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4. However, the game has been postponed and the developer has not yet given a new release date.

Developer Aspyr Media says on Twitter that the game’s release has unfortunately been delayed due to “ongoing work-from-home requirements across the industry.” That means the aforementioned May 12 release date will not be met, but the company has not yet given a new date. Aspyr says it will come out with a new update as soon as possible.

The remaster features a single player mode and split screen multiplayer. Players can choose from 25 different podracers and race on eight tracks in eight different worlds, including Tatooine, Baroonda and Malastare. Pitdroids play a role in keeping the vehicles in good condition.

The remaster of Star Wars Episode 1: Racer was announced in March, and in April the now-expired May 12 release date was mentioned. It is a polished version of the original, which originally came out in 1999 for the PC and the Nintendo 64. The new title should cost fifteen dollars.
