Star Citizen gives players option to buy shippack for $27,000
Those interested in the space combat sim Star Citizen who have already spent at least a thousand dollars on the game can purchase a pack for the price of an average luxury mid-range car that contains just about all ships in the game.
For as little as $27,000, players can purchase a shippack containing 117 starships, including 163 items such as upgrades, skins, fuel tanks, and in-game posters. This so-called Legatus Pack is only available to players who have already spent 1000 dollars or more, reports the website Mmopulse. Players have been able to purchase virtual areas of 8×8km for 100 dollars for some time now. For half a piece of land on a planet can also be claimed twice as small.
Star Citizen is an MMO set in space, centered on exploration, trade and space combat. The game has been in development since 2011 and was originally supposed to be released in 2014, but that has been postponed until further notice. Star Citizen has been funded by crowdfunding since 2012 and the counter is already close to 200 million dollars. In 2017 alone, 35 million dollars was invested. Currently, Star Citizen version Alpha 3.1 is available.
