Stalker 2 is in development and scheduled for release in 2021
GSC Game World is working on Stalker 2 and plans to release the game in 2021. The Ukrainian developer has not yet announced any substantive details about the game. The game is the sequel to Stalker: Call of Pripyat, which appeared in 2009.
Sergiy Grygorovych, founder of GSC Game World, said in a Facebook post that the studio is working on Stalker 2. He refers to a Stalker 2 website that only shows the title and the number 2021, which is probably the planned year for release.
Three games have already appeared in the Stalker series, all made by the Ukrainian GSC Game World. Stalker 2 was already being worked on after the release of Stalker: Call of Pripyat in 2009, but development was halted after the studio was forced to close its doors in 2011. In 2014 the studio was reopened.
The previous Stalker games are fps survival games set in an open game world around Chernobyl, where the nuclear disaster has mutated animals into monstrous creatures. The first part came out in 2007 and then there were two sequels.
