Stackoverflow itself also knows what it is especially good for: copying and pasting pieces of code. The site previously released the handy The Key mini keyboard to make that easy; now comes a second version of the gadget with a ctrl-C and ctrl-V button.

Stackoverflow releases The Key V2.0 keyboard in conjunction with Drop. There is to order the device for an unknown price. Stackoverflow made The Key last year, a mini keyboard with three buttons: a control button with a Stackoverflow logo, a C and a V. That first keyboard came out last year as an April 1 joke from Stackoverflow and cost $29. Stackoverflow has become known as a site where programmers like to copy code from other users to use in their own software.

The previous gadget became unexpectedly popular. Almost 10,000 copies were sold. That is why the company now released an improved model. It has two RGB LEDs under the keys and the housing is made of acrylic, so that the light shines through it well. Also, not only are the keys new, but also the ability for buyers to hot swap the standard Kailh Black Box switches.

The keyboard does more than really just copy and paste. Users can program the three keys themselves to give them a different function.
