Square Enix will release Star Ocean The Divine Force next year

Square Enix will release a new Star Ocean game next year for Xbox, PlayStation and PC. Star Ocean The Divine Force is the sixth game in the sci-fi fantasy game and is being created by developer tri-Ace.

Square Enix writes that the game is fun for old fans of the games as well as for new beginners. Players play with two new characters. Raymond is a merchant ship captain and Laeticia is a knight princess. The characters meet in the game and players can then choose which protagonist they go through the game with. The publisher promises different endings based on which characters players encounter on their journey.

Star Ocean The Divine Force is an open world game in a science fiction and fantasy setting. According to Square Enix, players can explore everything in the game, including in the air. The publisher says there are no random encounters with enemies, but players can decide for themselves whether to engage in combat.

The game will be released in 2022, although Square Enix does not mention a concrete date. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One, and exclusively on Steam on PC. The price is not known yet.
