Square Enix to make Life is Strange web series with Legendary
Square Enix has teamed up with Legendary Digital Studios to create a web series of the game Life is Strange. This is an episodic game that came out in 2015. Legendary is a studio that has already reworked several games for the silver screen, such as the Warcraft movie.
Not much is known about the web series yet, except that the project is being made in collaboration with Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons of dj2 Entertainment who recently produced the movie Sonic the Hedgehog, Legendary writes on its site.
Life is Strange revolves around Max, a college student who begins photography training at the Blackwell Academy at the age of eighteen in the fictional Oregon town of Arcadia Bay. It soon becomes apparent that she has visions. She doesn’t just have those visions, because she has special gifts that give her the opportunity to go back in time at certain moments. By changing answers given earlier in the game, she influences the future.
The game consists of five episodes and is available for PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox One and 360 and Mac, Windows and Linux via Steam. At the time of writing, the first episode of the game is free. When the web series will be released, when production will start or what the storyline will be, is not yet known.
