Square Enix Releases Shadow of the Tomb Raider on September 14

Publisher Square Enix has officially announced that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on September 14. The game will be released simultaneously on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam. An extensive CGI trailer has also been released.

The arrival of a new Tomb Raider game was already announced by Square Enix late last year, but Shadow of the Tomb Raider has now been officially revealed. Developers Eidos Montréal and Crystal Dynamics have released more details.

The third part of the new series of Tomb Raider games is set in a deadly jungle where Lara must prevent a Mayan apocalypse. The game will again feature tombs in which puzzles have to be solved. According to the creators, these tombs are more terrifying than ever.

Just like Rise of the Tomb Raider, the new game will have a co-op mode. There will also be a Season Pass, which will add seven new adventures upon release. They are called Paths and each Path contains a new story, new missions, a Challenge Tomb, a new weapon, a new outfit and a new skill.
