In the run-up to the release of the Windows version of Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix has released a benchmark tool. The tool allows gamers to see if their system is capable of running the game smoothly.

The benchmark can be set to resolutions of 1280×720, 1920×1080 or 3840×2160 pixels. Furthermore, there are three different graphic settings: Lite, Standard and High. The benchmark takes about 6.5 minutes and results in a score.

According to Square Enix, a score of at least 3,000 points is appropriate for playing the game at a “standard level of performance.” From six thousand points, the system is suitable for high settings and with PCs that reach twelve thousand or more points, the highest graphic settings should not cause any problems.

The Windows version of Final Fantasy XV will be released on March 6. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the end of 2016. The release of the PC version is accompanied by the arrival of a Royal Edition, which will also be available for the consoles and which will contain new content. The content will also be available separately as DLC.
