Square Enix confirms the arrival of the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI
Square Enix confirms it is working on a PC version of Final Fantasy XVI. That game is currently only available on the PlayStation 5. The studio also confirms that two DLC expansions for the game will be released.
Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed the arrival of a PC port of the game during PAX West, the studio reports on social media. The game was released two months ago, but has remained a PlayStation 5 exclusive to date. Yoshida reports that the PC version of FF XVI is currently in development, but it is unknown when exactly it will be released.
In addition, Yoshida confirms the arrival of DLC for the game. “As I said before, we’ve seen a lot of opinions and reactions from our community of Final Fantasy XVI players,” the producer reported. “But one thing that came through particularly strongly was how people want to see more of Valisthea’s story and spend more time with its inhabitants.” The company is working on two paid expansions.
Furthermore, the game received a major free update, which includes new cosmetic items and various bug fixes. The company shares the full patch notes on social media.
