Square Enix will release Harvestella in November. This is a farming simulator and RPG that is broadly similar to Stardew Valley, but Harvestella also adds dark elements to the story. That means that there can also be fighting.

Describe the makers Harvestella as a life simulation RPG where players can enjoy everyday life, talk to others and experience adventures. So it is possible to fill the day with farming tasks, fishing, raising livestock, crafting items and chatting with other residents. It is also possible to enter a dungeon and fight against monsters. You can do this by choosing from different Jobs, such as Fighter, Shadow Walker or Mage.

In the world of Harvestella, the season changes every 30 days. After spring, summer, autumn and winter, a fifth season follows, called Quietus. In this dark season, the crops perish and deadly dust ensures that you can no longer just walk outside. It is therefore important to gear farming life and activities to the arrival of Quietus, also known as the season of death.

The story revolves around four large crystals that provide a stable transition between the four seasons. At some point, the crystals started behaving abnormally, resulting in the Quietus. As a player it is important to look for a way to stop this. Harvestella releases on November 4 for Nintendo Switch and Steam.
