Square Enix announces Final Fantasy XVI for PlayStation and PC
Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XVI. The game is out for PlayStation consoles and PC. The publisher shows an extensive trailer, which was recorded on a PC, but should show the performance on a PlayStation 5 console.
Square Enix announces that Final Fantasy XVI is being made by its Creative Business Unit III. That’s the team of Naoki Yoshida, who is also the producer of Final Fantasy XIV. It is not yet known when the new game will be released. More will be announced next year, according to a Sony blog.
According to Sony, Final Fantasy XVI is exclusive to PlayStation consoles and PCs. The previous part also appeared for Xbox consoles upon release. More Final Fantasy games for Xbox consoles have appeared in recent times. Final Fantasy XVI may be temporarily exclusive to Sony.
The announcement of Final Fantasy XVI was made during Sony’s PlayStation 5 Showcase, which started at 10:00 PM. Sony shows information about new games in the stream and the manufacturer will probably also announce the price and release date.
