Spyra One is a water pistol with digital ammunition counter and battery with USB-C input

The German Spyra has more than achieved its Kickstarter goal with the Spyra One. This water pistol has a digital screen that indicates how much ‘ammunition’ can still be shot. The battery of the built-in pump can be charged via a USB-C connection.

Due to the ‘ammunition counter’ on top of the weapon, the water pistol resembles the futuristic rifle from the Halo game series. This counter indicates how many water jets can still be shot. The Spyra One cannot produce a continuous jet of water, but shoots water in volleys, like a semi-automatic rifle. These ‘water balls’ have a range of at least 7.5m and a maximum of 12m.

There is no manual pumping involved anymore. The Spyra One is equipped with a built-in pump that ensures a constant pressure in the water tank. The water rifle does not have an external water tank and can be refilled by partially submerging it under water for 14 seconds. According to Spyra, the rechargeable built-in battery must be recharged after 45 refills.

The Spyra One is on Kickstarter and has already more than met its goal of 51,000 euros; the counter is now almost at 300,000 euros. For an investment of 115 euros, a red or blue copy of the Spyra One will be delivered sometime in August 2019.
