Spotify will stop music trivia game Heardle on May 5
Spotify will stop the music trivia game Heardle on May 5. The company would like to focus on other activities and advises users of the game to take screenshots of the statistics achieved.
Spotify has not yet officially communicated about the news. Tech website TechCrunch suspects, however that the music company wants to use its financial resources more from now on for projects within its own Spotify app. That app received a new interface last month, which should make it easier for users to discover new music and videos.
Music trivia game Heardle was acquired by Spotify in 2022. The music streaming platform wanted to bring more interactivity to Spotify with the game, but also left Heardle’s regular website online. In Heardle, players must try to guess a song based on a short sound clip. Each participant is presented with the same song every day. Earlier this month it was also announced that Spotify will stop the livestreaming service Spotify Live.
