Spotify users can share their listened music on Snapchat
Spotify will soon make it possible for its users to share the songs they listen to on Snapchat. Users must have the Snapchat app installed for this.
The feature will be released soon, according to Spotify, and will make it possible to share playlists, albums and podcasts on Snapchat in addition to music tracks. Users need to open the share menu in the Spotify app while listening to the audio and then select Snapchat. This new feature is coming out for Android and iOS devices.
A friend who sees this on Snapchat can directly open Spotify and listen to that stream by swiping and tapping the shared audio. The Spotify app must be installed for this. In Snapchat, not only information about the shared audio appears, but also an image of, for example, the album you listened to.
Spotify already makes it possible to share listened content with other apps such as Facebook Messenger, Instagram Stories and WhatsApp. A competing music app like Tidal also lets its users share music with Facebook and Instagram.
