Spotify removes limit for adding songs to library

Spotify has removed the limit on the number of songs subscribers can add to their library. Until now, there was a limitation of a maximum of ten thousand songs. The download limit of ten thousand songs remains.

According to Spotify, the service is in the process of making the unlimited library experience available to all users. Users who now receive a warning that they are at the limit should soon see that change.

Spotify says that there has been a desire from users for some time to drop the limit on the number of songs stored. The service does not say why this is now being responded to. It concerns music that users ‘like’ or add to their own Library within the app. There is still a limit of ten thousand songs per playlist.

The download limit for listening songs offline remains. The number of songs that can be stored in the library was equal to that. In September 2018, Spotify stretched the download limit. Before that, it was 3333 numbers per device and 10,000 numbers afterwards.

Update: Contrary to what was stated earlier in this article, the download limit has not been removed. The article was subsequently rewritten.
