Spotify lets users search for songs by songwriter

Spotify lets users search for songs based on who wrote the song. That’s what the streaming service says. Until now it was only possible to search by artist or title, for example.

It will be possible to click on a songwriter and come to a page with all the songs that a songwriter has written, Spotify reports. The feature is called Songwriter Pages and will be available from Wednesday with some well-known lyricists.

The feature is already live, but songwriters can sign up to get their own page. The number of songwriters with their own page is limited for the time being. Also, there are no photos of songwriters yet; the pages show an artist for whom the songwriter has written.
