Spotify gives users weekly personalized playlists
Spotify is going to give its users a weekly, personalized playlist. The music streaming service has announced this. Spotify looks at the music that other users with similar music tastes add to their own playlists.
The personalized playlist will be available every Monday morning, Spotify has announced. The playlist will contain two hours of music and is adapted to the music taste of the user, Spotify promises. To do this, the streaming service combines the user’s listening behavior with comparable tracks that other users add to their playlists.
The functionality is not immediately available in Spotify, but will be added ‘soon’. The playlist will then automatically appear at the top of the playlist overview. Every week, the playlist is replaced with a new one, Spotify warns; the playlist will not be archived automatically.
