Spotify is extending beta testing of its Group Sessions feature. From now on, up to five Premium subscribers can listen to the same music on different devices. Users must share a link with each other via another app.

With the revamped group session feature, users can listen to the same music no matter where they are, each on their own device. Participants in a session can pause, stop, change the music or, for example, add songs to a playlist.

Group Sessions can be accessed via the Connect menu in the Spotify app. From there, Premium members can generate a link and share it with other users to form a group. The feature is still in beta, according to Spotify and may change in the near future.

Spotify already started a test with Group Sessions in May, but users could only operate music together on one device. This was intended for groups of users who are together in the same room. The new method also works remotely, where everyone listens to music on their own device.
