Developer 1047 Games has raised $100 million in investments. The money was raised in a third investment round by the developer. The counter now stands at 120 million dollars in total.

The Portal-style shooter has been very popular since the game went into beta earlier this summer. Its popularity has also caught the attention of investors, because on Twitter reports 1047 Games has again raised a lot of money from investors.

With the money, the developer hopes to be able to release updates faster and allow more players. They also write that the game can now come to more platforms, although it is not yet reported which additional platforms these are.

Previously, the developer had to extend the beta because the servers couldn’t handle the influx of new players. The game was downloaded 10 million times in the first month after the beta was released. The game was supposed to get a full release in July, but this has now been postponed indefinitely.

Splitgate is an online arena shooter that works with portals. Through these portals, players can not only move to other parts of the playing field, but also shoot at other players. The game elements are very reminiscent of the popular Portal series, in which players have to solve puzzles through portals.
